Description

A set of three deep round bowls (salad bowls), the design of which is conceptually inspired by medieval Persian ceramics of the city of Nishapur. The set includes three subjects:

“Sacred Bird” — a graphic bird silhouette in underglaze cobalt; the rim is arranged in sectors with gilding and sandy enamel;

“Warrior Horseman” — a crowned horseman with sword and shield surrounded by stylised birds;

“Ornamental Rosette” — a radially symmetrical oriental pattern with a central character, rich gold drawing and matt enamels.
