    Description

A rare collectible hanaire vase of expressive flattened-spherical form with a flat, wide base. The piece is covered with a deep, iron-rich glaze recreating the old aesthetic canons of the Kinkazan style. The vase has a unique microcrystalline texture with a refined olive-gold metallic shimmer (“golden patina”).

    Features

The unglazed base bears the very rare, highly prized “ha-meiHa-mei 葉銘 — a rare organic trace on unglazed ceramics: the natural imprint of a living tree leaf, which was attached to the base of the piece and burned away completely during the wood firing.” (葉銘) — an organic artist’s trace: the natural impression of a living tree leaf, fully fused into the clay body during the extreme wood firing.
