The surface of the vessel is skilfully decorated with a stamped, fine-grained floral pattern in the traditional MishimaMishima / Inka 三島 / 印花 — a technique of decorating ceramics with stamped or incised small ornaments, which are then filled with contrasting clay (slip). (Mishima-de / Inka) technique with white slip inlay.
