Description

A very rare example of cult sculpture. The sculpture depicts a praying female figure with hands folded at the chest, in the style of pre-Buddhist archaic idols. The reverse is flattened. The object shows unique physical parameters: the high density of the alloy (8.56 g/cm³), combined with a pronounced cavernous porous structure and ingrained multilayered malachite patina, indicates an authentic ancient casting technology. The lot has historical, cultural and museum significance.
