Description

An intimate work executed on a noble shimmering golden ground. The composition is built on a refined color contrast of lush white chrysanthemums and bright crimson autumn leaves, on a branch of which a songbird is depicted. Fine graphic rendering of details and laconic calligraphy create a contemplative atmosphere, emphasizing the classic Japanese aesthetic of fleeting natural beauty.

Marks

In the upper left corner — a calligraphic ink dating, the artist’s signature and an impression of the artist’s personal seal (hanko). Framed.
