30 000 – 45 000 ₽

    Manufacturer

    Koransha. Japan, Arita.

    Period

Second half of the 20th century (Showa period).

    Material

Pure white porcelain, overglaze polychrome enamel painting, gilding (kinsaiKinsai / Kinrande 金彩 / 金襴手 — a refined technique of hand-gilding ceramics and porcelain with gold leaf or liquid gold pigment, followed by a fixing firing.).

    Dimensions

    Height — 31 cm.

    Description

A display interior vase, rare for its size, of bottle form with a tall neck and paired decorative handles. On the flawless white surface of the porcelain unfolds a refined floral composition: opening pink rosebuds on slender stems, complemented by graphic leaves and shoots, executed entirely in gold leaf. The mouth of the vase is finished with a broad gold band. The rare dimensions of the piece combined with its fragile decoration demonstrate the highest level of technical mastery of the Arita manufactory.

    Marks

On the base of the piece is an authentic signature mark of the manufactory in the form of an orchid flower and the characters 香蘭社 (Koransha), executed in gold.
